Sometimes I think that the only reason why Gerard did not end up with Leliana back in times of Fifth Bligh, even if they had initial liking to one another, was that he just saw that Leliana wasn't in right senses and he wouldn't have made her truly happy.įirst of all, Gerard is a loose canon and Leliana deserved someone who treats her right, while he isn't a model gentleman and while she was flustered by him and had huge crush, he knew he can't provide her with love she needs, even if Leliana had tried to ensure Gerard Morrigan's bad news and not worthy of him.Īnother reason I headcanon for Leliana was that she was taken advantage of in very specific way by Orlesian guards back in events of Leliana's song and that left her distinctively distrustful of men, but then she saw that Gerard did not leech over her or did not try to take advantage of her (he already decked Morrigan on that time) she started to trust him and eventually fell hard for him and yet Gerard observed it and after she dared to speak of what had happened to her back in a day, he knew her romantic attachement to him isn't right.
